Biscay's universities seek to meet the demand for innovation from businesses

Biscay hosts and promotes a number of major universities and research centres which are at the forefront of international R&D&i, such as the University of Deusto, the University of the Basque Country, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Tecnalia, CIC bio Gune, The Basque Centre for Climate Change, Azti and Gaiker.

10,100 specialists, 52% of them with higher-level qualifications and 5% with PhDs.
